By accessing and using the ChatboxAI API platform (chatboxai.co.in), you agree to comply with the following policies. Please read them carefully to ensure your usage remains compliant.

1. Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

You may not use the ChatboxAI API to generate:

• Hate Speech or Harassment: Content that promotes violence, incites hatred, discriminates, or disparages on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, disability, age, nationality, or sexual orientation.
• Self-Harm: Content that encourages or provides instructions on how to self-harm or commit suicide.
• Sexual Violence and Nonconsensual Sexual Content: Content depicting, encouraging, or promoting sexual violence or nonconsensual sexual content.
• Illegal Acts: Content that promotes or facilitates illegal acts (e.g., instructions on creating weapons, illicit drugs, or cyberattacks).
• Deception: Spam, highly deceptive content, disinformation campaigns, or impersonation without clear disclosure.

Enforcement: Violations of the AUP may result in immediate suspension or termination of your API keys and account without refund.

2. Data Privacy & Zero Retention

ChatboxAI acts as a unified gateway to multiple LLM providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc.).

• No Training: We do not use your API inputs (prompts) or outputs (completions) to train, improve, or fine-tune our own internal models.
• Provider Agreements: We have negotiated strict enterprise Zero-Retention agreements with our upstream providers. Data passed through ChatboxAI to external models is processed ephemerally and is not permitted to be used for model training by the provider.
• Data Storage: Your chat logs and API history are stored securely on our servers solely for your own operational visibility (e.g., viewing logs in your Dashboard). You can delete these logs at any time.

3. Account Tiers & Fair Use

Free Tier

The Free tier is provided for development, testing, and hobbyist projects.

• It is strictly limited to 300 requests per day.
• It provides access to a limited subset of basic models.
• Features like Web Search and heavy compute Automated Evaluations are disabled.
• Creating multiple free accounts to bypass the 300 requests/day limit is a violation of our Fair Use policy and will result in a permanent ban.

Paid Tier

The Paid tier operates on a prepaid credit system (Pay-as-you-go).

• Unlocks the full 56+ model catalog (including premium reasoning models like Claude 3.5 Sonnet, Gemini 1.5 Pro, and DeepSeek R1).
• Unlocks Web Search and unlimited MCP connectors.
• API limits are dictated strictly by your credit balance and configured Rate Limits.

4. Refund Policy

• Prepaid Credits: API credits purchased for the Paid tier are generally non-refundable once consumed. If you experience an extended platform outage that resulted in failed requests being erroneously billed, please contact support for a credit adjustment.
• Account Termination: If your account is terminated due to a violation of the Acceptable Use Policy, any remaining prepaid credit balance is forfeited.
